| The Ambulances serve the communities of Ashby, Evansville, Dalton, Melby, the southern portion of rural Battle Lake, and their surrounding townships. Included in this mostly rural / agricultural area are, numerous lakes, recreation areas, resorts, campgrounds, and a section of I-94. Fire Departments and Rescue Squads that we may be called to assist include; Battle Lake, Dalton, Evansville, Millerville, Underwood and Vining. Patients are regularly transported to Lake Region Hospital in Fergus Falls, ELEAH Medical Center in Elbow Lake, and Douglas County Hospital in Alexandria. Transports as far as St. Mary's Hospital / Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN have been made. In addition to regular BLS skills, Ashby EMTs also use combitube airways, start IVs, and administer medications granted by variance (Glucagon, Epinepherine, Nitroglycerin, and Albuterol). |
